'Piece By Piece' is a collaborative group exhibition I curated. The concept stemmed from panel paintings I have been creating for a few years and always thinking how well they would work as collaborative pieces. I figured since I have been inspired by all these great artists i've been meeting that we could make some great work. I rounded up a group of some of my favorite local Chicago artists (and now friends) . I started by designing the layout for each piece, cut the panels accordingly, and sent them to the artists. Once I received the panels back I built the pieces and framed them. This was my first shot at curating and it couldn't have been done with out the help of Jesse Neuhaus (www.blutwn.com). A big thanks goes out to Goose Island and Lagunitas for all the donated beverages that kept everyone goin'. An even bigger thanks goes out to all the artists who made this one possible: Erik Lundquist, Louie Capozolli, Elloo, Lunch Studio, Jeremy Steffen, Zach Schrey, and Jake Zirbes. You all killed it!
